A little help
Let’s make it simple.
Find a starting point below. These answers describe our current iPhone and iPad release candidate; public download details are on the app page.
How do I switch between light and dark?
Open Settings from Today and choose the app appearance. The setting applies to the whole app, not just the illustration.
Can I turn the voice or written word off?
Yes. Settings has separate controls for showing the word and saying the word. Recorded spoken words are included with the app for offline playback; device speech is a fallback if a recording cannot play.
Do I have to finish a session?
No. You can pause or leave whenever you like. The default is 12 cards, and Settings lets you choose between 6 and 24 with full-library access. The free pack has 12 cards, so free sessions cannot exceed that pack. This is a collection size, not a recommended screen-time duration.
Where are my settings and collections stored?
The current app stores preferences and saved collections locally on your device. It does not require a Baby Vocab account. Device deletion, app removal, or restore behavior can affect local data; there is no Baby Vocab cloud-sync feature to promise here.
Is Baby Vocab available for iPad or Android?
The release candidate is a native SwiftUI app for iPhone and iPad. We have not announced an Android release.
Where can I download the app?
Visit the app page for the confirmed public release state. We will not send you to an unverified store listing.
A small beginning, or the whole collection
The free pack includes cat, dog, house, door, ball, car, tree, apple, banana, cup, book, and baby. Optional monthly, yearly, or lifetime access unlocks all 520 cards and their recorded spoken words. Purchases and restore are in the parent area; check Apple’s purchase screen for your region’s price.
